Safeguarding the Past, Protecting the Future is an art exhibition that brings together emerging and established contemporary artists from around the world who reference and utilize ancient artistic practices and classical techniques in order to illuminate the importance of preserving cultural heritage. Hosted by Stall Three Studio, an arts organization, and the Antiquities Coalition, a DC Based non-profit working diplomatically to fight against the illicit trade of antiquities, the exhibition invites policymakers, museum leaders, collectors, academics, and cultural stakeholders into a dialogue on ethical stewardship, artistic inheritance, and the global fight against the illicit trade in antiquities.
The exhibition will be hosted at D.C.’s IA&A Hillyer Gallery throughout September 2026 with the opening celebrated with a series of events and will then transition to an exhibition in New York, NY at the UN Headquarters and a nearby institution.
